Etsy fees in 2026 and how to price a digital product
What Etsy takes from each sale, a worked example on a $5 product, and a simple way to choose your price.

Digital products have no printing or shipping cost, but Etsy still takes a share of every sale. Know the numbers before you set a price.
What Etsy charges
- Listing fee: $0.20 for each listing. It is charged again when the listing renews after four months, and when an item sells and renews.
- Transaction fee: 6.5% of the price.
- Payment processing fee: a percentage plus a small fixed amount. It is different in each country, so check the rate shown for your own shop.
- Advertising: optional Etsy Ads, and Offsite Ads, where Etsy takes a share only when an ad brings the sale.
These are the figures widely reported for 2026. Confirm them on Etsy's fees page, which is linked below.
A worked example
A $5.00 digital product:
- Listing fee: $0.20
- Transaction fee, 6.5%: $0.33
- That is $0.53 before the payment processing fee.
After processing, expect to keep roughly $4 of the $5. Payoneer's withdrawal fee and exchange rate come after that.
Choosing a price
- Look at ten similar products that are selling and note their prices.
- Start at the lower end of that range. A new shop has no reviews yet.
- Do not go so low that the fixed fees eat most of the sale. On a $1 product, the listing fee alone is a fifth of the price.
- Raise the price after your first sales and reviews.
- Bundle related products. One $9 bundle pays far more than three $2 items after fees.
Every M-ListDrop product page shows a suggested price range to start from.
