Selling AI-made products on Etsy without risking your shop
Etsy allows products made with AI tools, as long as you say so. What to choose, what to write, and what is not allowed.

Many sellers are afraid that AI-made products get shops banned. What Etsy actually asks for is honesty: its Creativity Standards, introduced in July 2024, ask every seller to say how an item was made.
What Etsy expects
- Products you create with AI tools belong under "Designed by" you.
- Say in the listing description that AI tools were used.
- Selling the prompts themselves (prompt bundles) is not allowed.
What to do on every listing
- When Etsy asks how the item was made, choose the "Designed by" option.
- Add one clear sentence to the description, for example: "This item was designed with the help of AI tools."
- Use your own mockup images and make the listing yours: change the main image and a few tags.
- Do not use brand names, characters or celebrity names in titles or tags.
Why it matters
A hidden AI product can be reported by a buyer or picked up in a review, and a shop that hides it has nothing to stand on. A shop that discloses it has followed the rule.
Every M-ListDrop product page repeats this checklist and gives you the sentence to copy.
